Choose Your
Controller Platform

Start with the network your panel requires, then match the field signals. Fixed-I/O models are fastest for repeatable panels; NORVI X is the better fit when I/O varies from machine to machine.

APPLICATION GUIDANCE

Built for Panel Builders
& Systems Integrators

An ESP32 DIN rail mount is most useful when the electrical requirements are clear before the software discussion starts. Send NORVI the same information you would put into an LV-panel or automation RFQ.

What to include in a controller inquiry

A complete brief lets the engineering team narrow the series and part number without a long email chain.

  • Supply voltage and available panel PSU
  • Digital input count and sink/source wiring
  • Relay or transistor output count
  • 0–10V, 4–20mA, RTD or pulse inputs
  • RS-485 / Modbus RTU devices
  • Ethernet, Wi-Fi or cellular requirement
  • Local display / HMI requirement
  • Quantity, target BOM and delivery timing
For repeated machine panels, also state the maximum future I/O count. That is usually the deciding factor between a fixed-I/O controller and NORVI X.
Example RFQ

Typical panel-builder brief

Enough detail for a useful first recommendation:

Application: Pump control + remote monitoring

Outputs: 4 relay outputs for contactors/alarms
Fieldbus: RS-485 Modbus energy meter
Network: Ethernet preferred; 4G option required for remote sites
Mounting: DIN rail inside IP-rated enclosure
Quantity: 20 units initial / repeat project

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Common
Questions

Technical answers for engineers selecting an ESP32 controller for a DIN-rail control panel.

It is an ESP32 or ESP32-S3 based programmable controller packaged for industrial control cabinets, with DIN-rail mounting, screw or push-in terminals, 24V field I/O and industrial communication interfaces.

NORVI IIOT is the simplest starting point when Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and RS-485 are enough. Choose the model by relay, transistor, 0–10V or 4–20mA requirements.

Choose ENET when wired Ethernet is a core requirement—for example SCADA integration, Modbus TCP, plant LAN connectivity or local data logging without relying on Wi-Fi.

NORVI X is designed for that case. The ESP32-S3 CPU stays consistent while digital, relay, transistor, analog and other expansion modules are added to match each machine or panel.

Yes. Depending on the series, RS-485 Modbus RTU and Ethernet-based communication can be used to connect meters, drives, HMIs, SCADA systems and existing PLC architectures.

Send the 24V supply details, digital and analog I/O counts, output types, fieldbus devices, Ethernet/Wi-Fi/cellular requirement, enclosure constraints, quantity and expected delivery timing.
