The EC-M12 is built around an ultra-low-power STM32L072 microcontroller that spends most of its life in sleep mode. It wakes on a schedule, takes a sensor reading, stores it with a real-time-clock timestamp, transmits over NB-IoT, LTE-M, or LoRaWAN, and returns to sleep - a cycle powered by a 38,000mAh dual-cell Li/SOCl2 battery pack designed for 5+ years of service.

Battery-life note: Actual service life varies with sampling frequency, transmission interval, cellular signal quality, sensor power demand and operating temperature.

A battery powered cellular data logger collects sensor measurements, stores them locally, and transmits them over cellular networks without relying on mains power. The NORVI EC-M12 is an industrial IP67 implementation with NB-IoT, LTE-M and optional LoRaWAN connectivity.

The SIM7070 modem supports 2G, Cat-M1 (LTE-M) and Cat-NB1 (NB-IoT) networks.

Yes. LoRaWAN is available as an optional long-range wireless connectivity option alongside cellular connectivity.

The EC-M12 uses a 38,000mAh battery pack built from two ER34615H Li/SOCl2 cells. A 5+ year service life is achievable under suitable low-duty-cycle logging profiles. Actual life depends on sampling frequency, transmission interval, network conditions, sensor load and operating temperature.

Inputs vary by model: dual 4-20mA analog, RS-485, dual digital, mixed digital plus 4-20mA / 0-10V analog, or strain-gauge input with excitation.

Model A is for 4-20mA sensors, Model B for RS-485 / Modbus instruments, Model C for digital or pulse inputs, Model D for mixed digital and analog signals, and Model E for strain-gauge or load-cell applications.

The EC-M12 has an IP67 enclosure rating for outdoor and industrial field deployment.

Yes. Model B provides RS-485, and NORVI application guides document Modbus RTU communication and transmitting Modbus data over MQTT.

Yes. The platform can be integrated with your own server or cloud environment rather than requiring a locked third-party cloud.

Start with the sensor interface: 4-20mA, RS-485, digital, mixed analog/digital or strain gauge. Use the product configuration cards above, or send NORVI your sensor type, reporting interval and communication requirements for assistance.
